  • Controlling the humidity in our home can help improve indoor air quality. With increased moisture in the home comes the possibility of allowing mold to grow. A portable dehumidifier during the humid seasons is a must. Or there is the alternative of having a whole dash home humidifier installed. This is a great addition to help control the levels of moisture in the house.
  • Keeping the bathroom exhaust fans clean is another great way to keep the air quality indoors at a high-level. The fans will help inhibit the growth of mold and mildew. However, these fans certainly need to be cleaned often because they can become clogged with dust and debris.
  • The ventilation in the kitchen is also very important. Cooking with a gas stove will release high levels of pollutants. So to improve ventilation in the kitchen use the range hood often. Open windows in the kitchen while you’re cooking if possible. Use an air purifier to help remove particles in the air. It’s a good investment for the kitchen.
  • Cleaning the house regularly is also a great routine for indoor air quality. Allergens can accumulate like dust, pet dander, and chemical residue on the floors. So vacuuming and mopping regularly will help remove these pollutants from the air in your home.
